Job summary

CAT in Odessa, TX is seeking a Rental Technician I (R) on a rotational schedule, 14 days on/7 off, traveling to field sites to service gas engines and oilfield equipment. You will perform repairs, diagnostics, and safety-compliant tasks in the field.

Responsibilities include completing jobs per ERLG, paperwork, and using diagnostic software; you will also operate cranes and adhere to HAZMAT rules. CDL is required within 90 days, and travel can reach 100%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of related experience.
• Clean driving record and ability to obtain CDL within 90 days of hire.
• Must be at least 21 to operate field vehicle.
• Travel up to 100% for assignments.
• Safety policies and procedures must be followed.

Responsibilities

• Commission, service, and repair power generation equipment used in oilfield applications.
• Commission, service, and repair compressed air equipment used in oilfield applications.
• Complete assigned jobs within ERLG without sacrificing quality or safety.
• Work safely and follow WCAT safety policies and procedures.
• Complete related paperwork and access databases required to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately.
• Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, clean and inspect assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Apply Cat reusability guidelines.
• Submit parts and core returns with proper documentation.
• Perform warranty downloads of ECM.
