Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Business related preferred, or relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Learn and operate a feed truck and deliver feed to pens, ensuring proper feeding times and schedules.
• Assist with reviewing daily agenda for pen ships, moves, and transfers; coordinate with cattle department.
• Develop understanding of animal handling; assist with daily agenda for cattle movements and receiving records.
• Learn hospital rotations and protocols for treating cattle; maintain drug inventory.
• Operate equipment in Mill and assist with batch feeding and quality control of ingredients.
• Assist with yard maintenance, preventative maintenance schedules, and compliance with safety procedures.
• Communicate issues to appropriate personnel and develop leadership skills.
