Job summary

Five Rivers Cattle Feeding is seeking a Feedyard Trainee to support cattle, feed, mill, and yard departments while developing toward a management role. You will work under the Department Manager and gain hands-on exposure across departments.

Responsibilities include assisting in daily operations, coordinating with teams, and learning safety, compliance, and budgeting processes integral to yard management in a dynamic ag environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years related experience and/or training.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating manuals.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts relevant to yard operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cattle, feed, mill, and yard operations as needed.
• May supervise employees on a limited basis.
• Participate in management-prep training and development.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, and EPA requirements.
• Assist in budgeting and inventory/replenishment of department supplies.
