Job summary

The Krusteaz Company in Manhattan, KS is seeking Variable Shift Packaging Operators to join our team. This role focuses on operating packaging equipment, monitoring production lines, and supporting processes from production to final shipment, with rotating shifts and overtime as needed.

Hours are mainly 2nd shift (Mon-Fri 3:00PM-11:30PM) rotating to 1st shift (Mon-Fri 6:30AM-3:00PM) about 25% of the time. Candidates must be flexible and able to adapt to production needs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to work first or second shift and overtime as needed.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• Previous food processing experience is a plus.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment operation.
• Read and interpret safety and operational instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot packaging equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and follow production/quality processes.
• Hand sorting, case packing, pallet stacking, and supply replenishment.
• Inspect materials, ingredients, and finished products.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on packaging equipment.
• Execute daily and monthly cleaning tasks per regulations.
• Maintain compliance with process quality, food safety, and general safety programs.
• Learn new methods and assist in training as needed.
