Job summary

Engineering Resource Group is seeking a Mechanical Drafter in Linden, New Jersey, to design rotating machinery drawings and support the manufacture of motors and industrial fans.

You will collaborate with mechanical engineers to develop 2D drawings and 3D models, maintain drawing libraries, and ensure accurate specifications. Proficiency in SolidWorks and DraftSight, and GD&T knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with Mechanical Drafting.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD and DraftSight 2D CAD.
• Ability to take SolidWorks 3D models and create accurate 2D drawings.
• Ability to create or modify 3D models of complex parts using SolidWorks.
• Experience with GD&T.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design rotating machinery drawings for motors and industrial fans.
• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for manufacture of rotating equipment.
• Maintain and update engineering drawing library and standards.
• Work with mechanical engineers to ensure accurate documentation.
• Support design, documentation, and manufacture in a manufacturing environment.
