Job summary

A dynamic engineering firm is seeking a Mechanical Drafter for their Linden, NJ facility transitioning to East Windsor, NJ. The successful candidate will have CAD proficiency and a strong work ethic, supporting the design of rotating machinery like electric motors and fans. Responsibilities include creating 2D drawings from 3D models, ensuring attention to detail, and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of experience in Mechanical Drafting.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Sufficient mechanical background to understand geometric tolerancing.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for electric motors and vane-axial fans.
• Maintain and update engineering drawing library and standards.
• Work closely with mechanical engineers on design tasks.

Skills

Proficiency in Solidworks 3D CAD

Proficiency in DraftSight 2D CAD

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Good computer skills

Ability to manage multiple projects

Attention to detail

Education

Associates Degree in Mechanical Drafting
