Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies is hiring a Rotating Equipment Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial machinery. You will work with experienced teams to perform alignment, dismantling, and preventive maintenance on rotating and fixed equipment.

The role requires basic mechanical skills, ability to read schematics, and proficiency with precision measuring tools. A strong safety mindset and willingness to travel for field service are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; trade/technical schooling preferred.
  • 2–4+ years in industrial mechanical maintenance or field service.
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills and hands-on equipment maintenance experience.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools and mechanical drawings/schematics.
  • Experience using hand and power tools in an industrial setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on complex tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with installation, alignment, dismantling, and movement of industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on rotating and fixed equipment.
  • Inspect components for wear and alignment issues; escalate as needed.
  • Read blueprints and schematics; interpret technical manuals.
  • Use hand and power tools to complete maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain records in CMMS or job tracking systems.
  • Coordinate with experienced technicians, engineers, and electricians on installs and repairs.
  • Operate in a safe, clean work environment following safety regulations.

Competitive Pay:

This position offers an hourly wage starting at $25 plus per /hr. Can be higher depending on experience and qualifications.

What You'll Do:
  • Assist with the installation, alignment, dismantling, and movement of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on rotating and fixed equipment.
  • Inspect mechanical components for wear, damage, and alignment issues, escalating concerns as needed.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and support repairs or component replacements.
  • Use hand and power tools to complete maintenance and installation tasks.
  • Work alongside experienced technicians, engineers, and electricians on equipment installations and repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent using CMMS or job tracking systems.
  • Demonstrate the ability to complete routine tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with company and industry safety regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to expand technical skills.
What You'll Need:
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.
  • 2–4+ years of experience in an industrial, mechanical maintenance, or field service role.
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with equipment maintenance.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools and mechanical assembly.

  • Exposure to rotating equipment (pumps, motors, compressors, etc.) preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel for field service work as needed.
