Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies is seeking a Rotating Equipment Technician to join our team. This role offers hourly pay starting at $25+/hr, with opportunities to grow as you gain experience and qualifications.

You will work with rotating equipment, perform maintenance, read blueprints, and collaborate with engineers and electricians on-site. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and 2–4+ years of industrial maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, alignment, dismantling, and movement of industrial machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance on rotating and fixed equipment.
• Inspect components for wear and alignment, escalating as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and support repairs.
• Maintain records using CMMS or job-tracking systems.

What You'll Do

• Assist with the installation, alignment, dismantling, and movement of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on rotating and fixed equipment.
• Inspect mechanical components for wear, damage, and alignment issues, escalating concerns as needed.
• Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and support repairs or component replacements.
• Use hand and power tools to complete maintenance and installation tasks.
• Work alongside experienced technicians, engineers, and electricians on equipment installations and repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent using CMMS or job tracking systems.
• Demonstrate the ability to complete routine tasks with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with company and industry safety regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to expand technical skills.

What You'll Need

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.
• 2–4+ years of experience in an industrial, mechanical maintenance, or field service role.
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with equipment maintenance.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools and mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Experience using hand and power tools in an industrial setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently on routine tasks and as part of a team for more complex work.
• Physical ability to lift equipment, work in various environments, and stand for extended periods.
• Exposure to rotating equipment (pumps, motors, compressors, etc.) preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel for field service work as needed.
