Job summary

Augment Professional Services is seeking a skilled Millwright Mechanic to install, align, maintain, and repair heavy mechanical equipment across energy, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

You will use dial indicators, laser systems, and micrometers to ensure precise alignment, read blueprints, and work with engineers and other trades on-site. Safety, quality, and teamwork drive this hands-on role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with preferred Millwright/apprenticeship.
  • 3–7 years as Millwright or Industrial Mechanic in relevant sectors.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and tool proficiency.
  • Knowledge of alignment, rigging, welding, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles, installs, and aligns industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Uses precision tools for accurate fit and alignment.
  • Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment.
  • Reads blueprints, P&IDs, and equipment manuals to guide work.
  • Inspects parts for wear or damage and recommends corrective actions.
  • Collaborates with site supervisors and engineers to complete scopes.
  • Follows all safety protocols and maintains a clean work area.
