Job summary

Rotary Systems, Inc. is seeking a dependable Mechanical Assembler to join our Ramsey, MN manufacturing team.

You will assemble, test, and inspect precision rotary unions used in a wide range of industrial applications, applying strong mechanical aptitude in a climate-controlled facility. You will read engineering drawings, BOMs, and work orders, use torque tools and measuring devices, and help maintain quality documentation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with precision components.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Basic computer skills for production reporting and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble rotary unions and related products per drawings and procedures.
  • Perform functional and pressure testing plus final inspections.
  • Read BOMs and work orders; interpret assembly instructions.
  • Use hand tools, torque tools, measuring instruments, and test equipment safely.
  • Identify and report quality issues or discrepancies; maintain records.
  • Support troubleshooting with engineering and production teams.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area per procedures.

Job description

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will assemble, test, and inspect precision rotary unions used in a wide range of industrial applications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys hands‑on work and takes pride in building high‑quality products in a modern, climate‑controlled manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble rotary unions and related products according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and assembly procedures
  • Perform functional testing, pressure testing, and final inspections to verify product performance and quality
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, bills of materials, and work orders
  • Use hand tools, torque tools, measuring instruments, and test equipment safely and accurately
  • Identify and report quality issues, damaged components, or assembly discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
  • Assist with troubleshooting assembly and test issues while working closely with engineering and production teams
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following company safety procedures
Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with precision mechanical components
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly instructions
  • Basic computer skills for production reporting and documentation
Preferred
  • Experience assembling hydraulic, pneumatic, or rotating mechanical equipment
  • Familiarity with pressure testing, leak testing, and precision measuring instruments
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 or similar quality management system
  • Forklift or overhead crane experience (or willingness to obtain certification)
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet production schedules
  • Dependable work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
