Job summary

Doppelmayr USA, Inc. in Utah seeks a Ropeway Project Engineer II to support civil/structural/ropeway engineering by developing concrete foundation drawings, structural steel designs, and ropeway profiles for diverse aerial ropeway projects.

Responsibilities include designing foundations and steel elements, applying lift profile design, determining loads per ASCE-7 and standards, and preparing calculations and drawings for permitting, manufacturing, and construction.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Civil/Structural Engineering with PE supervision; EIT certification (FE) with supervision by PE.
Strong understanding of engineering principles, design practices, and standards.
Familiarity with ASCE-7, AISC, ACI-318, ANSI B77.1; ability to prepare calculations and construction docs.

Responsibilities

Design concrete foundations for terminals, towers, pads, and utilities.
Design structural steel components like tower tubes and crossarms.
Apply ropeway design using specialized software and determine design loads per ASCE-7/Doppelmayr standards.
Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, and drawings for permitting, procurement and construction.
Develop testing procedures to ensure installations meet project specs and safety requirements.
Collaborate with domestic/international teams; perform site visits; travel up to 10%.
