Job summary

Apex Entertainment in Virginia Beach is seeking a dynamic Ropes Course Operator to ensure guest safety and enjoyment as they navigate the ropes course. This role rotates between the ropes course, Go-Karts, Bumper Cars, and Laser Tag, keeping daily work varied and exciting.

The ideal candidate is 18 or older, with strong guest service skills, the ability to stand long shifts, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Experience in food & beverage and/or hospitality is a plus.
• Ability to stand for 4–10 hours.
• Prior experience with amusement rides is advantageous.
• Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Weekend availability essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the ropes course, safety protocols, equipment, and visitor guidelines.
• Welcome guests professionally, ensure harnessing, attire, footwear, and course rules are understood.
• Guide and support guests as they navigate the course with instructions and assistance as needed.
• Monitor guest numbers on the course to maintain safety and enjoyment.
• Verify height and age requirements for children before allowing course access.
• Inspect harnesses and safety restraints before each participant's challenge.
