Job summary

Arctic Testing & Inspection (ATI) in La Porte, TX, is seeking a Level 2 Rope Access Technician. This on-site role performs NDT inspections and light mechanical work on structures using rope access techniques, reporting to the Operations Manager.

You will rig rope systems, inspect PPE, and document findings in line with IRATA/SPRAT standards. The position requires valid IRATA or SPRAT Level 2 credentials with 12–18 months of rope access, NDT certifications if applicable, a driver’s license, and

Qualifications

• IRATA or SPRAT Level 2 certification with 12–18 months rope access experience.
• NDT certification (SNT-TC-1A or ISO 9712) if NDT work is assigned.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites, including offshore locations.
• Comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Rig and de-rig rope access systems per IRATA/SPRAT standards.
• Perform pre-use inspections of PPE and rope gear.
• Safely access elevated areas and carry out NDT or light mechanical tasks.
• Follow safety protocols, permits-to-work, and JHAs.
• Document inspection findings and maintain records.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment and certifications.
• Assist with installation, repair, or adjustment of equipment as directed.
