Job summary

PROtect LLC is seeking an entry-level Rope Access Technician (Level I) to operate at heights under supervision. You will perform two-rope system tasks, support rigging processes, and assist with inspections while prioritizing safety and learning the system and procedures.

The role requires endurance for long shifts, a valid driver's license, and certifications (SPRAT/IRATA Level I–III). Industry certifications (NDT assets) are a plus. Relocation and travel opportunities may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• SPRAT/IRATA Level I–III rope certification preferred; API 653/570/510 assets noted.
• NDT certifications (UT/MT/PT/RT/DR/RAD 40) and TX state card are assets.
• Craft insulation/coatings, pipe fitting, welding, mechanical experience is a plus.
• Confined space certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform work while suspended using two-rope systems.
• Follow established rigging and access systems (does not design them).
• Carry out assigned tasks such as cleaning and coating prep, basic installation or removal, and assisting inspections.
• Maintain tool tethering and dropped-object controls.
• Participate in rescues as directed.
• Follow JSAs, permits, and site safety rules.
