Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking NCCER credentialed Boilermakers with Rope Access for the Baton Rouge, LA area. The role involves assembling, disassembling, erecting, and repairing boilers, tanks, and related equipment according to blueprints; requires high safety and teamwork across field operations.

The position is non-exempt and reports to a Foreman. Responsibilities include equipment rigging, testing, and maintaining compliance with safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• IRATA / SPRAT Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 certification.
• TWIC Card.
• Must have NCCER certification.
• Demonstrated proficiency in construction tool use (i.e. grinders, oxy/acetylene torch).
• Rigging.
• Must have a capacity for work at height.

Responsibilities

• Uses Industrial Rope Access methods and related equipment to access and complete maintenance, repairs and other industrial tasks while suspended on ropes or in difficult access areas.
• Bolts structures and sections together; aligns water tubes and connects and expands tube ends to drums and headers.
• Assists in testing assembled vessels; performs assignments per supervisor’s direction.
