Roots to Resiliency Community Development VISTA

Roots to Resiliency (R2R) is a nonprofit organization serving Eloy and central Pinal County, Arizona. Our mission is to strengthen communities through education, wellness, resource connection, prevention, volunteerism, and collaboration.The Roots to Resiliency VISTA project will build sustainable organizational and community infrastructure that improves access to workforce development, employment opportunities, educational resources, and supportive community services for low-income individuals and families. The VISTA member will strengthen R2R's capacity by developing data collection and evaluation systems, partnership and referral infrastructure, community resource navigation tools, volunteer engagement systems, and organizational sustainability resources. The member will work with schools, workforce programs, nonprofit organizations, local government, and other community partners to strengthen coordination and improve pathways to available resources.This is a capacity-building position focused on creating systems and tools that can be sustained beyond the VISTA service year. The project is designed to strengthen R2R's efficiency, effectiveness, and community reach while helping residents increase awareness of resources that support employment readiness, education, economic stability, and long-term self-sufficiency.

Member Duties

The R2R VISTA will build sustainable systems that strengthen access to workforce, education, employment, and community resources for low-income individuals and families. The member will develop data collection and evaluation tools; strengthen partnerships and referral networks; develop community resource directories and navigation tools; and build volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention systems. The VISTA will also develop grant-readiness, impact-reporting, and sustainability tools and work with schools, workforce programs, nonprofits, government agencies, and community organizations to strengthen coordination and resource access.
