Job summary

1 Hotels Group is seeking a passionate Rooms Training Manager in a luxury Miami Beach setting to lead onboarding and development for the Rooms team. • Passionate about hospitality, learning and development, and delivering exceptional guest and team member experiences.
• Minimum of 4 years in a comparable training, learning and development, Rooms, or hotel operations role, preferably in upper-upscale or luxury environments.
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Hospitality, HR, Learning & Development, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of luxury hotel operations, service standards, and training quality assurance.
• Experience with luxury service rating programs or quality assurance organizations (Forbes, FHR, Virtuoso).
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills with ability to engage at all levels.

The Rooms Department plays a vital role in creating the guest experience at our hotel. From the first interaction to every moment throughout a guest's stay, our Rooms teams are responsible for delivering thoughtful, informed, and personalized service that brings the 1 Hotels brand to life.

We're currently seeking a passionate and engaging Rooms Training Manager to lead the onboarding, training, and development of our Rooms team. This role is instrumental in ensuring our team members have the knowledge, tools, and confidence to consistently deliver exceptional service while embodying the values and culture of 1 Hotels.

The ideal candidate understands the importance of meaningful training and development, has a strong eye for service and quality, and is passionate about creating learning experiences that translate into exceptional guest experiences. This position works closely with Rooms leadership and People Operations to identify training opportunities, develop effective learning programs, and continuously elevate our service standards.

About you...

• Passionate about hospitality, learning and development, and delivering exceptional guest and team member experiences.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a comparable training, learning and development, Rooms, or hotel operations role, preferably within an upper-upscale or luxury hotel environment.
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Hospitality, Human Resources, Learning & Development, or a related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of luxury hotel operations, service standards, and the importance of consistent training and quality assurance.
• Experience working with luxury service rating programs or quality assurance organizations, such as Forbes, FHR, or Virtuoso.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to engage team members at all levels.
• Exceptional follow-up and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives and priorities simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to identify training needs, develop solutions, and measure the effectiveness of learning programs.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and team member relationship skills, with a positive, approachable, and collaborative demeanor.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

• Flexibility to meet the demands of a 24-hour hotel operation, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Prior experience with a quality luxury hotel brand.
• Experience developing and delivering training programs within a luxury hospitality environment.
• Fluency in a second language other than English.
• Knowledge of hotel structure and the interaction between Rooms and other hotel departments.
• Experience with hotel systems and technology such as HotSOS, Zingle, Runtriz, MS Shift, HMS, or similar platforms.
• Experience with learning management systems, digital training platforms, or other training technology.
