Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Round Rock, TX, is seeking a Rooms Controller to act as the primary liaison between Front Desk and Housekeeping, ensuring accurate room status, efficient turnover, and clear daily communication. You will monitor room availability and arrivals to help ensure rooms are ready when needed.

As part of the Rooms Division leadership, you’ll support guest experiences and operational efficiency by coordinating priorities and keeping teams aligned.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between Front Desk and Housekeeping with clear, timely communication.
• Monitor and maintain accurate room statuses and identify discrepancies.
• Track housekeeping progress and prioritize turnover based on arrivals, VIPs, groups, and requests.
• Communicate room delays, maintenance issues, and inventory concerns to stakeholders.
• Ensure cleaned and inspected rooms are released promptly to maximize availability.
• Monitor room moves, early arrivals, late check-outs, and extensions affecting inventory.
• Provide regular updates to Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Rooms Division leadership.
• Assist other Rooms Division departments maintaining a professional, proactive approach.
