Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts in Atlanta offers the Rooms Manager-in-Training Program, a fast-track development path for recent graduates. The MIT will spend 12 months immersing in both Front Office and Housekeeping to build a strong foundation for a long-term HEI career.

You will shadow departments, complete shifts, attend leadership meetings, and learn PMS and labor-cost controls while delivering high guest service and adhering to SOPs.

Qualifications

• Recent or current graduate of a hospitality program preferred.
• Flexibility to relocate for placement after completion of the MIT program.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Shadow both the Front Office and Housekeeping departments at the assigned hotel.
• Complete shifts in each position within the Front Office and Housekeeping departments.
• Attend department meetings and leadership meetings at the hotel.
• Become proficient with operating the PMS and all other systems used by the Front Office and Housekeeping.
• Utilize labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs.
• Interact positively with customers and resolve problems to maintain satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with Room SOPs and Policies.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Overview

The Rooms Manager-in-Training Program is a fast track career development opportunity for recent college graduates. The Rooms MIT will spend 12 months immersing themselves in both the Front Office and Housekeeping departments. • Interact positively with customers and take action to resolve problems to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.
• Ensure compliance with Room Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
