Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts offers a Rooms Manager-in-Training Program designed as a fast-track career development for recent graduates. The MIT program spans 12 months with immersive exposure to Front Office and Housekeeping, aiming to prepare you for a long-term career within HEI Hotels & Resorts.

You will shadow both departments, rotate through shifts, attend leadership and department meetings, and learn the PMS and labor-management tools to control costs while delivering outstanding guest

Qualifications

• Recent or current graduate of a hospitality program preferred.
• Flexibility to relocate for placement after completion of the MIT program.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Shadow both the Front Office and Housekeeping departments at the assigned hotel.
• Complete shifts in each position within the Front Office and Housekeeping departments.
• Consistently attend department meetings within the Front Office and Housekeeping departments as well as any leadership meetings at the hotel.
• Become proficient with operating the PMS and all other systems used by the Front Office and Housekeeping.
• Utilize labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs.
• Interact positively with customers and take action to resolve problems to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.
• Ensure compliance with Room Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
