Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel and Residences New Orleans is seeking an In-Room Dining (IRD) Supervisor to lead the IRD team and ensure a superior guest dining experience in a fast-paced hotel setting.

You will manage labor, schedules, and daily reports while coordinating with kitchen and Room Service to uphold Four Seasons standards and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Prior supervisory position experience preferred.
• Minimum of one year of food service or equivalent experience is required.
• TIPS and ServSafe certifications required.
• Work authorization in the United States required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of In-Room Dining and assign duties; train, lead, and coach staff to meet standards.
• Maintain department organization and cleanliness.
• Forecast labor, process payroll, create schedules and provide daily reports.
• Handle guest orders courteously; describe menu items with vivid detail.
• Monitor other platforms; respond to guest inquiries and complete glitch reports as needed.
• Coordinate kitchen orders with guests’ original requests; ensure timely delivery to guest rooms.
• Oversee amenity deliveries and ensure prompt, accurate service.

About The Role

Four Seasons Hotel and Residences New Orleans is seeking candidates to join our dynamic In-Room Dining team as an In-Room Dining (IRD) Supervisor. Our IRD Supervisor is responsible for leading and training our IRD team to deliver an exceptional guest experience while maintaining our quality standards.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee daily operation of In-Room Dining and assign duties. Assist in selecting training, evaluating, leading, motivating, coaching, and disciplining all employees in the Hotel’s In- Room Dining Department to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.

• Maintain department organization and cleanliness.

• Forecast labor, process payroll, create schedules and provide daily reports.

• Answer telephone using courteous, efficient telephone etiquette while obtaining all information necessary to process the guest’s order according to Four Seasons Standards, describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods.

• Monitor our other mobile platforms on which guests can place orders or communicate with us. Ensure prompt reply to guest enquiries, and assist them in a timely and courteous manner. Complete Glitch reports as needed.

• Ensure any special needs or requests to the kitchen are communicated using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order; coordinate delivery of items to the guestroom by Room Service Servers in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality; properly and accurately close guest checks; record guest charges and gratuities.

• Oversee amenity deliveries by ensuring that all requests are received, filed, ordered from kitchen and delivered in a prompt and accurate fashion.

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience

• Prior experience in a supervisory position preferred.

• Minimum of one year of food service or equivalent experience is required.

• TIPS and ServSafe certifications required

• Work authorization in the United States required

What To Expect

• Work a flexible work schedule of 40-45 hours weekly that will include mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Collaborate with departments through various hotel systems and platforms to provide a memorable guest experience.
