Job summary

Northwood Hospitality in Islamorada is looking for a dedicated team member to ensure exceptional service in our dining area. This role requires preparing and stocking work areas, delivering orders to guests, and maintaining high appearance standards.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of menus, should be friendly and service-oriented, and be committed to upholding the quality of our food and service standards.

• High standards of personal appearance and grooming.

Responsibilities

• Prepare station in anticipation of the day's business.
• Stock work areas with China, glassware, linen, coffee pots, napkins.
• Check VIP list, communicate orders to the kitchen.
• Set trays and tables according to established standards.
• Deliver orders according to established standards.
• Retrieve trays on a timely basis.
• Ensure quality of food and beverage being delivered.
• Prepare and deliver amenities and replenish as needed.
• Perform opening and closing duties according to sidework checklist.
• Answer the telephone while maintaining established standards.
• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly manner.
• Team members must be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous.

• Check VIP list, and communicate orders to the kitchen and the next room service shift.
• Set trays and tables according to established standards.
• Deliver orders according to established standards.
• Retrieve trays on a timely basis.
• Ensure quality of food - beverage being delivered and communicate with Manager/Captain/Kitchen.
• Prepare and deliver amenities and replenish as needed.
• Perform opening and closing duties according to established sidework checklist.
• Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials and upsell items to guests.
• Answer the telephone while maintaining the established standards.
• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag
  when working.
• Team members must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
