As an In-Room Dining Specialist, you create an intimate dining experience within guest rooms while providing world-class service. Beyond in-room dining, specialists assist with creating magical moments through delivery of amenities and other guest requests, ensuring extraordinary service by going above and beyond in all situations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintain and adhere to all resort service standards and expectations.
• Prioritize tasks with keen attention to detail, including mise en place, table setups, and checklists.
• Work and communicate effectively as part of a team.
• Knowledge of POS (point of sale) systems.
• Basic computer skills.
• Obtain and maintain a RAMP certificate through the state of PA.
• Care for department assets, including serviceware, tables, and the room service vehicle.
• Follow SOS (Sequence of Service) standards for in-room dining.
• Stay updated on menu knowledge and allergy awareness.
• Assist with guest requests in RMS (SevenRooms/Host), including contact info, preferences, and special occasions.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and proper phone etiquette.
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently, even in high-volume situations.
• Adhere to SOPs, including phone etiquette, appearance, timing, attendance, and guest interactions.
• Maintain a luxury minibar with high-end food and beverage items.
• Handle cash transactions properly.
• Have knowledge of all food and beverage menus and general resort information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and use stairs if needed.
• Valid driver’s license and responsible driving of company vehicle.
• Fluent in English.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations.
• Customer service experience preferred; room service experience a plus.
• Flexible availability, including holidays, weekends, evenings, mornings, and overnight shifts.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively.
• Professional interaction with guests and contacts.
• Understanding of the hospitality industry is helpful.

Typically, these skills are acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of guest service experience.
