Job summary

The Woodlands Resort, Curio Collection is seeking a Room Service Associate to provide superior guest service by accurately taking room service orders and promoting menu items. You will input orders into the POS and coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation.

Role requires knowledge of food and beverage service standards, ability to recall menu items, and strong verbal/written communication skills to assist guests and colleagues in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations and service standards.
• Knowledge of all menu items and accompaniments.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to operate a keyboard to input Point of Sale procedures to pre-check, input order and close out the check.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as supervisors, coworkers, public, etc.

Responsibilities

• Promptly answer room service calls, announce specials, promote menu items.
• Document orders and quote arrival times with speed and accuracy.
• Input orders into the POS and provide the server with a hard copy of the check.
• Respond to guest complaints positively and negotiate solutions.
• Be available to work regularly and comply with attendance rules.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
