Job summary

Hei Hotels Inc. in The Woodlands, TX is seeking a Room Service Operator to provide friendly, timely room orders and guest service.

You will answer calls, clarify orders, promote menu items, and input orders into the POS system to help kitchen staff prepare meals efficiently, while delivering accurate checks to the dining team. A reliable team player with knowledge of menu items and basic service standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations and service standards.
• Knowledge of all menu items and accompaniments.
• Ability to memorize, recite and promote menu items.
• Ability to operate keyboard to input POS procedures and close out checks.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promptly answer room service calls and quote arrival times.
• Document orders and ensure accuracy by repeating items back to guests.
• Input orders into POS so kitchen can begin preparation and provide checks to servers.
• Address guest complaints positively and propose solutions.
• Attend to shifts reliably and perform other duties as assigned.

No**Overview**Offer superior customer service while accurately taking Room Service orders.### **Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Promptly answer room service calls, announce any specials, promote menu items and answer questions regarding preparation methods.* Document orders, repeat items back to callers to ensure accuracy and quote expected arrival time with speed and accuracy.* Immediately input order information into point-of-sale system, allowing kitchen staff to begin preparation; note any special requests clearly.
