Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Banquet Attendant to assist the Banquet Manager in serving guests during events at The Woodlands Resort, Curio Collection by HEI. You will help set up, greet guests, plate and serve food and beverages, and ensure service standards are met throughout functions.

The role requires hotel banquet experience, a team-oriented attitude, strong communication, and the ability to work standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Hotel or banquet experience preferred.
• Experience in food and beverage service and guest relations.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and serviceware.
• Ability to follow written product labeling instructions for safe handling.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room as instructed by Supervisor, including linen, serviceware and glassware.
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function details and guest expectations.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Serve food and beverages according to Supervisor's instructions to ensure consistency.
• Promptly remove dishes and reset room after each course or function.
• Abide by state, federal and corporate rules for serving alcoholic beverages.
• Replenish beverages as needed and check guest satisfaction.
• Maintain room readiness for subsequent functions by resetting as required.
• Maintain attendance discipline and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

NoOverviewAssist Banquet Manager in the serving of guests during banquet functions to ensure positive guest experience.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSet up banquet room as instructed by Supervisor to include linen, serviceware and glassware.Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function particulars, including guest and hotel expectations.Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.Serve the food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the Supervisor to ensure consistency throughout the banquet.
