Job summary

Simmons Prepared Foods Inc is seeking personnel to manage and optimize the picking room in our Southwest City facility. The role requires attention to sanitary standards and adherence to GMPs while working in a hot plant environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring readiness of products, maintaining proper temperatures with appropriate equipment, and using PPE as required. A basic education and familiarity with processing facilities are preferred for this full-time position.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills and strong English language basics.

Responsibilities

• Adjust pickers to ensure ready-to-eat standards are met.
• Adjust scalders to ensure proper temperatures.
• Follow all GMPs for the plant.
• Work in a plant environment, standing, walking and in hot conditions for 8 hours.
• Use PPE as required (waterproof footwear, hearing protection, hair nets).
• Experience around machinery is preferred.
• Knowledge of a processing facility helpful.
