Schulte Hospitality Group in Rochester, NY seeks a Room Inspector to ensure guest suite cleanliness and accurate status updates. The role emphasizes service excellence, attention to detail, and coordination with Housekeeping teams.

You will inspect rooms, assist with daily duties, and uphold the company’s hospitality standards across multiple properties. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong communication, a guest-service mindset, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced hotel environment

Qualifications

• High School education required.
• 1 year in housekeeping preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule room and cleaning assignments.
• Inspect suites and public areas for cleanliness and repairs.
• Perform housekeeping duties such as making beds and vacuuming.
• Update room status and discrepancies throughout the shift.
• Counsel Housekeepers on discrepancies and escalate repairs as needed.
• Open/close the house by coordinating room assignments and ensuring end-of-day cleanliness.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedules room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage.
• Inspects all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair.
• Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming and cleaning.
• Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
• Randomly selects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness.
• Counsels Housekeepers on discrepancies. Notifies Executive Housekeeper of maintenance repairs as necessary.
• Opens/ closes the house by assigning rooms to Room Attendants, then ensuring that all rooms are cleaned by the end of day.
• Perform various other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of High School education
• Minimum of one (1) year in Housekeeping role preferred

• Knowledge of cleanliness standards
