Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic Room Inspector to join our team. The role involves scheduling room and cleaning assignments, inspecting suites and public areas for cleanliness, and performing housekeeping duties as needed to maintain high standards.

Candidates should have a High School diploma and preferably 1 year in housekeeping. The position supports a collaborative hotel environment with emphasis on guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Schedule room and cleaning assignments to ensure coverage.
• Inspect suites and public areas for cleanliness and repairs.
• Perform housekeeping duties including making beds and vacuuming.
• Update room status of discrepant rooms during shift.
• Randomly select rooms to verify cleanliness.
• Counsel housekeeping on discrepancies and report repairs to supervisor.
• Open/close the house by assigning rooms and ensuring completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedules room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage.
• Inspects all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair.
• Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming and cleaning.
• Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
• Randomly selects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness.
• Counsels Housekeepers on discrepancies. Notifies Executive Housekeeper of maintenance repairs as necessary.
• Opens/ closes the house by assigning rooms to Room Attendants, then ensuring that all rooms are cleaned by the end of day.
• Perform various other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of High School education
• Minimum of one (1) year in Housekeeping role preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

• Ability to exceed expectations of guests
• Knowledge of cleanliness standards
