Overview
Clean and supply all daily assigned guest rooms with special care given to Guest belongings. Stock each room with appropriate supplies to ensure that every Guest has a perfect room and everything they need to enjoy their stay.
Responsibilities
- Know your job.
- Complete job skills training and possess a clear knowledge of the job.
- Know property standards (SSI) and room types.
- Listen attentively in pre-shift meetings and ask for clarification of assignments and expectations.
Be on time.- Read your schedule, follow attendance guidelines, and report to work on time in proper uniform.
- Follow clock-in and clock-out procedures.
Be on stage.- Maintain a friendly, approachable, and helpful attitude.
- Follow property personal appearance and uniform standards, be well-groomed, and practice good personal hygiene.
- Use approved verbiage and scripting when interacting with all guests.
- Follow proper procedures and scripting when entering a guest room.
Serve.- Conduct yourself professionally and collaboratively with guests and fellow associates, in accordance with the company’s service culture, “The Keys to Making it Right.”
Work smart.- Use your Room Attendant Board with instructions for sequence, special requests, and cleaning types.
- Complete cleaning of all assigned rooms methodically and promptly, following PHR Steps of Service, while maintaining attention to detail and efficiency.
- Ensure all guest rooms meet or exceed documented SSI standards before turnover for inspection and occupancy.
Use your tools.- Ensure cart or caddy (as applicable) is set up to standard.
- Use approved tools and checklists to complete assigned tasks.
- Complete room assignment sheets and return to your supervisor at the end of your shift.
Measure Up.- Produce clean guest rooms that meet or exceed quality and efficiency standards of the department.
Respect the space.- Keep your work area, cart, and closets clean and organized.
- Report any deficiencies in rooms or public areas promptly to your supervisor or via the work order management tool, as applicable.
Be safe.- Report unsafe work conditions, practices, safety, or security violations according to company policy.
Support the Team:- Cooperate with other associates and supervisors to create a positive work environment.
- Support team efforts by carrying out responsibilities professionally and constructively.
Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
- Experience: Prior housekeeping experience is desirable. Past work experience in a similar or related skill set, such as hospitality, prison, or military experience, is advantageous.
- Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with guests, co-workers, and management to ensure understanding. Ability to exert physical effort to clean all assigned rooms within a shift. Ability to perform duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, courtesy, and minimal supervision.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to handle the physical demands of the job effectively.
