Room Attendant / Housekeeping

Job Description:

Responsible for the cleanliness and overall appearance of the guest rooms and surrounding corridors. Courteously and pleasantly respond to the guest’s needs and requests to make their stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy. This person must also provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. and property specific brand standards.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas, and for reporting to the maintenance department any deficiency in any room or public area, and all out of order equipment.
• Make beds neatly with fresh linens. Pick up trash from floor, remove and empty trash from waste cans, clean mirrors and shelves, wipe doorframes and furniture with damp cloth, dust light fixtures, windowsills, and the baseboards, and arrange furniture properly.
• Responsible for the hallway in front of room. Deep clean one room daily.
• Clean bathrooms, scrubbing basin, bathtub, toilet, and tile floor with damp rag and detergent.
• Disinfect surfaces in bathroom.
• Replenish supplies in rooms (glasses, stationary, soaps, shampoo, tissue, toilet paper, guest directories) and place clean towels on rack.
• Vacuum each room and hallway.
• Report to the Executive Housekeeper all rooms vacated and clean, rooms occupied and clean, or any other discrepancies, or any unusual conditions of furniture or room repairs needed.
• Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person.
• Have knowledge of fire alarm and evacuation procedures.
• Be responsible for security of guests, fellow Associates, and hotel assets.
• Perform any other required duties as requested by the General Manager to aid in better operation of the hotel, restaurant, lounge, and service to the guests.
• Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, Associate issues, etc.
