Canopy by Hilton New Orleans Downtown is seeking a Room Attendant / Housekeeper to maintain clean, comfortable guest rooms and a welcoming environment for guests. You will follow hotel standards, assist with housekeeping tasks, and participate in TEAM development and travel discounts.

The position emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, with opportunities for career growth through the hotel's development program.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred, but training is offered.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in cleanliness.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently and with a TEAM.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent English reading, writing, and speaking skills; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel and housekeeping standards.
• Make beds, change linens, clean bathrooms, vacuum, dust, mop, and sanitize guest rooms.
• Replenish guest room amenities, towels, and supplies.
• Inspect rooms to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and overall guest readiness.
• Maintain and organize housekeeping carts and supplies.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, missing items, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Follow all hotel, housekeeping, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Respond to guest requests in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner.
• Assist with additional housekeeping duties as needed.
• Work efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
• Contribute to a positive and supportive TEAM environment.

Requirements

• Previous hotel housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean and comfortable guest rooms.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently and as part of a TEAM.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull housekeeping equipment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and move for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Excellent English communication skills; must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
