Job Description Summary
The Room Attendant (RA) works with the Housekeeping Management Team to clean guest rooms and public space areas, and/or work in the commercial laundry facility, in accordance with brand standards to ensure total guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Sonesta Service in all guest and client interactions per G.U.E.S.T. standards.
- Respond to guest requests and complaints, ensuring satisfaction.
- Clean and service assigned rooms and areas following established standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, and removing trash.
- Notify supervisors upon completion of service or report issues preventing room readiness.
- Assist with laundry duties, monitor supplies, operate laundry equipment, and report damages.
- Minimize waste of supplies and amenities.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects as needed.
- Report repairs or unsafe conditions.
- Handle lost and found items according to procedures.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through communication and coordination.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
- Experience in the extended stay industry is a plus.
- Fluent in English; other languages beneficial.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Ability to stand, bend, climb, kneel, and move about frequently.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Regular use of cleaning chemicals required.
- Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
