Job Description Summary

The Room Attendant (RA) works with the Housekeeping Management Team to clean guest rooms and public space areas, and/or work in the commercial laundry facility, in accordance with brand standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver Sonesta Service according to the G.U.E.S.T. standards.
2. Respond to guest requests and complaints, ensuring satisfaction.
3. Clean and service assigned rooms or areas following established procedures, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, and removing trash.
4. Notify supervisor upon completion of service and report any issues.
5. If assigned to laundry, monitor supplies and operate washers/dryers, inspect linens, and report damages.
6. Minimize waste of supplies and amenities.
7. Assist with deep cleaning projects as needed.
8. Report repairs or unsafe conditions.
9. Handle lost and found items appropriately.
10. Promote teamwork and communication with other shifts and management.
11. Ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
12. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Experience in extended stay industry is a plus.
• Fluent English skills preferred; additional languages beneficial.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, climb, and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Comfortable using cleaning chemicals.
