Job summary

Fairfield Inn Myrtle Beach North is seeking a part-time Room Attendant to maintain cleanliness of guest rooms and public spaces in a Strand Hospitality managed hotel.

You will ensure adherence to brand standards and provide a pleasant guest experience while handling cleaning duties, restocking supplies, and reporting maintenance needs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive list of assigned rooms from supervisor and prioritize accordingly.
• Follow sign in/out procedures for room keys.
• Check cleaning cart inventory and restock supplies.
• Enter rooms after knocking, returning if occupied.
• Notify supervisor of damages, odors, or suspicious activity.
• Replace linens and restock towels and toiletries per policy.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, surfaces, and high-touch items.
• Make beds and ensure rooms meet hotel standards.
• Notify lost and found items and assist with rollaways/cribs as needed.
• Coordinate with maintenance for repairs as necessary.

• Base Pay $14.00 - $16.50 / Hour

Job Summary

To maintain the cleanliness and the appearance of guest accommodations and public space. The Room Attendant will ensure he/she meets all brand or hotel standards in the rooms and public spaces.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Room Attendant's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Receive list of assigned rooms from supervisor. Prioritize rooms based on direction from supervisor or as noted on list.
• Follow sign in/out procedures for key to access rooms.
• Check the inventory of cleaning cart and add any necessary supplies.
• Knock and announce self before entering room; return at a later time if rooms are occupied.
• Upon entry, immediately notify supervisor of any damage or strong odor to room.
• Immediately notify supervisor of suspicious activity.
• Remove linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets from each assigned room and provide fresh replacements. Follow appropriate protocol for checkouts versus stayovers.
• Neatly make beds and stock towels, washcloths, and hand towels according to policies.
• Thoroughly clean and disinfect bathroom and kitchenette or coffee-preparation areas according to hotel polices.
• Disinfect all surfaces, to include all high-touch items; wall and lamp switches, thermostat, door handles, telephone, TV remote(s), etc.
• Clean mirrors, glass and dust pictures and other objects in room.
• Vacuum floors and remove trash.
• Check complimentary coffee, snacks, and toiletry supplies in the room, restocking according to provided hotel checklist and policy.
• Ensure room meets hotel and brand standards with a final walkaround.
• Notify supervisor of found items and bring to lost and found if guest has checked out.
• Notify supervisor of rollaways or cribs in rooms for pickup and storage.
• Notify supervisor of room availability.
• Ensure soiled linens are provided to laundry timely.Notify maintenance department of needed maintenance or repairs based on hotel processes.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests.
• Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards.
• Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly way.
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English preferred. Other languages in addition to English is a plus.
• Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs..
• Ability to be flexible and work weekends, holidays and be scheduled any days of the week. Weekends are required.
