Job summary

Hotel Zeppelin, part of Sage Hospitality Group, is seeking a full-time Room Attendant to clean and prepare guest rooms to established standards and ensure guest satisfaction.

The role emphasizes independent thinking, attention to detail, safety, and teamwork within a hospitality-driven environment in San Francisco. Experience is not required, and the position includes benefits for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions and communicate both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves items from shelves and storerooms, sets up cleaning cart with supplies, maintaining carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in rooms, public areas and hallways, including hard to reach areas.
• Replaces towels, soaps and all room amenities and restocks literature that has been removed by previous guest or is soiled and torn.
• Washes all hard floor areas by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas.
• Dusts and polishes all furniture and fixtures and reaches vents and ceiling corners to remove cobwebs.
• Strips bed and remakes with fresh linens, checking bedspread and blankets for cleanliness.
• Lifts mattresses to check for soil between mattresses and under bed.
• Checks closet for cleanliness and restocks supplies.
• Vacuums rooms and corridors; handles heavy carts and furniture.
• Inspects door/window locks and reports unsafe conditions to management.
• Inspects room equipment and reports maintenance deficiencies to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Maintains custody of equipment, keys and supplies.
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
