Job summary

Sandcastle Hotel on the Beach in California is seeking a Room Attendant to ensure clean, comfortable guest rooms and a welcoming stay. You will clean rooms, restock amenities, and report maintenance issues while upholding safety and security standards.

You will work as part of the Housekeeping team, maintaining standards, communicating with guests and managers, and supporting other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Basic cleaning skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining Company standards.
• Dependable and responsible with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, managers, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and prepare guest rooms to Company standards.
• Make beds, dust, vacuum, clean bathrooms, wipe surfaces and walls, and complete other room-cleaning tasks.
• Complete rooms efficiently within established time guidelines while maintaining quality.
• Restock guest room amenities according to Company standards.
• Report maintenance issues or items requiring immediate attention.
• Report any damage, missing items, or guest belongings found in rooms to the appropriate manager.
• Follow all lost-and-found procedures.
• Maintain complete security of assigned master room keys and return them at the end of each shift.
• Assist with laundry and other Housekeeping duties as needed.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with guests, managers, and fellow team members.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized Housekeeping environment.
• Support other team members and hotel departments as needed.

Located directly on the sand in the heart of Pismo Beach, Sandcastle Hotel on the Beach offers a relaxed coastal escape just steps from the iconic Pismo Beach Pier and downtown. The recently refreshed 75-room hotel features oceanfront accommodations, direct beach access, a third-floor oceanfront deck with lounge seating and fire features, and The Deck, a beachfront bar and bistro overlooking the Pacific. With its walkable location, sweeping ocean views, and laid-back beachside atmosphere, Sandcastle Hotel offers guests an inviting home base for enjoying the best of Pismo Beach and California’s Central Coast.

THE ROLE

As a Room Attendant, you’ll play an essential role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay for every guest. You’ll take pride in the details, keeping guest rooms and assigned areas to our standards while working efficiently and safely as part of the Housekeeping team. You will:
