Riviera Beach House, located in Santa Barbara, seeks a Housekeeping Attendant to keep public areas, guest rooms, and outdoor spaces clean and safe. You will support laundry operations and help with basic maintenance, working closely with the housekeeping team to ensure a welcoming property.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and proactive guest service, with opportunities to contribute across departments and maintain a high standard of guest comfort.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in housekeeping, hospitality, facilities, or a related role.
• Basic cleaning skills and a strong eye for detail.
• Comfortable working across both indoor and outdoor areas of a hotel.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently or use a dolly when needed.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional approach with guests.
• Dependable, hardworking, and willing to jump in wherever needed.

Responsabilités

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of hotel grounds, public areas, and common spaces.
• Remove trash and cigarette butts from hotel grounds and keep outdoor areas looking their best.
• Clean lobbies, hallways, walkways, railings, stairwells, and other high-traffic areas.
• Clean exterior windows, guestroom doors, sliding glass doors, and other assigned areas.
• Maintain pool furniture, ice and vending machines, public benches, exterior light fixtures, sand urns, and dumpster areas.
• Run laundry and assist with distributing or handling linens as needed
• Shampoo carpets and turn mattresses as assigned
• Report maintenance concerns, damage, and missing or found items to the Housekeeping Supervisor
• Assist the Maintenance team with basic repairs, including minor plumbing and carpentry tasks
• Safely use approved cleaning products and equipment
• Communicate professionally and courteously with guests and fellow team members
• Support other departments and hotel team members wherever needed
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the property

Located in the heart of Santa Barbara's vibrant Funk Zone, Riviera Beach House is a boutique coastal hotel housed in a historic 1928 building just steps from the beach and Stearns Wharf. The hotel features stylish European-inspired accommodations, second-floor terraces, complimentary bike rentals, an on-site art gallery, and dining at Santo Mezcal Mexican Restaurant. With its laid-back coastal atmosphere, walkable location, and curated local experiences, Riviera Beach House offers guests an inviting way to experience the creative spirit and charm of Santa Barbara.

THE ROLE

As a Housekeeping Attendant, you'll help keep the entire hotel clean, cared for, and running smoothly. From public spaces and outdoor areas to laundry and guestroom support, you'll be a hands-on member of the Housekeeping team who isn't afraid to jump in wherever help is needed. You will:

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of hotel grounds, public areas, and common spaces

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 1+ year of experience in housekeeping, hospitality, facilities, or a related role
• Basic cleaning skills and a strong eye for detail
• Basic maintenance skills are a plus
• Comfortable working across both indoor and outdoor areas of a hotel
• Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and use good judgment
• Comfortable working independently while supporting a larger team
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional approach with guests
• Dependable, hardworking, and willing to jump in wherever needed
• Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and work with approved cleaning agents
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed
• Ability to frequently walk, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, reach, push, pull, lift, and carry
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. independently or use a dolly when needed
