What you will be doing

Key Responsibilities

This description outlines the primary duties of the position; however, it is not intended to be an exhaustive list. Employees may be asked to perform additional tasks as needed.

  • Receive assigned work areas, keys, supplies, and priority room requests from the housekeeping supervisor or leader.
  • Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards using approved cleaning products and procedures.
  • Make beds and replace linens and pillowcases.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and bathtubs.
  • Vacuum carpets and mop floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Dust furniture, walls, fixtures, and other surfaces.
  • Replace towels, toiletries, and other guest amenities as required.
  • Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly.
  • Inspect rooms for maintenance issues or damages and report them promptly to management.
  • Maintain and restock housekeeping carts with linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies.
  • Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and security procedures.
  • Respond to guest requests courteously and report concerns or complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Report missing items, damages, or mechanical issues to the Housekeeping Manager or Supervisor and submit any lost-and-found items.

Requirements:Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees must be flexible and able to work varying schedules based on operational needs.

  • Availability to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
  • Ability to clean multiple guest rooms during an eight-hour shift
  • Self-motivated with a professional and positive attitude
