Job summary

Ameswell Hotel in Mountain View is seeking a Room Attendant to uphold high cleaning standards across guest rooms and public spaces. You will work independently with pride in attention to detail, contributing to a welcoming environment for guests.

Responsibilities include cleaning, restocking, and maintaining safety while supporting hotel operations and guest satisfaction. This is a full-time, on-site role with opportunities to contribute to guest comfort.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with sanitation, cleaning, and safety standards.
• Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes guest rooms and bathrooms to hotel standards.
• Changes linens, remakes beds, and restocks towels and amenities.
• Dusts and polishes furniture and realigns it with floor plan; vacuums.
• Cleans interior windows, closets, and door tracks; removes dust.
• Empties trash and restocks supplies; carts and robes as needed.
• Rotates and deep-cleans as required.
• Delivers and retrieves loaned items and checks rooms.
• Updates room status on assignment sheet and restocks cart.
• Reports guest or employee concerns to the Manager.
• Familiar with hotel services to answer guest questions.
• Maintains a clean, organized, safe work area.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Description

As a Room Attendant, you keep the quiet promise every guest feels the moment they open their door — spotless, welcoming, exactly as it should be. You'll uphold Ameswell’s highest cleaning standards across guest rooms and public spaces, working independently with real pride in the details.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes guest rooms and bathrooms to Ameswell’s standards, including fixtures, showers, tubs, and flooring
• Changes linens, remakes beds, and replaces towels and bathroom amenities
• Dusts and polishes furniture and realigns it to the floor plan; vacuums and sweeps flooring
• Cleans interior windows, closets, and door tracks, removing dust and debris
• Empties trash and restocks supplies, carts, and bathrobes as needed
• Performs rotation and deep-cleaning duties as required
• Delivers and retrieves loaned items for guests, and checks and secures rooms
• Updates room status on the assignment sheet and restocks the cart at the end of shift
• Reports guest or employee concerns, and any maintenance or repair needs, to the Manager immediately
• Stays familiar with hotel services and local attractions to answer guest questions accurately
• Follows standard operating procedures and maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Performs other duties as assigned

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Familiarity with sanitation, cleaning, and safety standards
• Comfortable working independently, staying self-motivated while meeting deadlines and high standards
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including holidays and weekends
• Respectful, discreet, and detail-oriented with guests, coworkers, and property
