Job Description Summary

The Room Attendant (RA) works with the Housekeeping Management Team to clean guest rooms and public space areas, and/or work in the commercial laundry facility, in accordance with brand standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver Sonesta Service in all guest interactions according to the G.U.E.S.T. standards.
2. Respond to guest complaints and requests, ensuring satisfaction.
3. Clean and service assigned rooms or areas, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and removing trash.
4. Notify supervisor upon completion of service or report issues preventing room readiness.
5. If assigned to laundry, monitor supplies and operate washers and dryers per standards.
6. Minimize waste of supplies and assist with deep cleaning projects as needed.
7. Report repairs or unsafe conditions to management.
8. Handle lost and found items according to procedures.
9. Promote teamwork and quality service through communication.
10. Ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping preferred.
• Background in extended stay industry beneficial.
• Fluent in English; other languages advantageous.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills preferred.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, climb, and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Regular use of cleaning chemicals required.
