Job Description Summary

The Room Attendant (RA) works with the Housekeeping Management Team to clean guest rooms and public space areas, and/or work in the commercial laundry facility, in accordance with brand standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver Sonesta Service in all guest interactions according to the G.U.E.S.T. standards.
2. Respond to guest requests and complaints to ensure satisfaction.
3. Clean and service rooms and areas following established procedures, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and removing trash.
4. Notify supervisors upon completion of service and report any issues or unserviceable rooms.
5. Assist with laundry tasks, monitor supplies, operate laundry equipment, and handle linens appropriately.
6. Minimize waste and assist with deep cleaning projects when needed.
7. Report repairs or unsafe conditions.
8. Handle lost and found items per procedures.
9. Promote teamwork and ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Some housekeeping experience preferred.
• Experience in extended stay industry beneficial.
• Fluent English skills preferred; other languages beneficial.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to stand, bend, climb, and move about frequently.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Regular use of cleaning chemicals required.
• Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Additional Information

Pay range: $24.90 - $25.90. Benefits include medical, dental, paid leave, pension, legal services, and parental leave.
