Job Description Summary

The Room Attendant (RA) works with the Housekeeping Management Team to clean guest rooms and public space areas, and/or work in the commercial laundry facility, in accordance with brand standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver Sonesta Service according to the G.U.E.S.T. standards.
2. Respond to guest requests and complaints, ensuring satisfaction.
3. Clean and service assigned rooms as per standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, bathroom sanitation, trash removal, and cleaning appliances.
4. Notify supervisor upon completion of service or report issues.
5. If assigned to laundry, monitor supplies, operate equipment, inspect linens, and report damages.
6. Minimize waste of supplies and amenities.
7. Assist with deep cleaning projects as needed.
8. Report repairs or unsafe conditions.
9. Handle lost and found items appropriately.
10. Promote teamwork and quality service through communication.
11. Ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
2. Experience in extended stay industry is a plus.
3. Fluent English; other languages beneficial.
4. Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
5. Ability to stand, bend, climb, kneel, and move about frequently.
6. Lifting up to 75 pounds.
7. Use of commercial cleaning chemicals required.
8. Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Additional Information

Pay range: $24.90 - $25.90, with benefits including health insurance, paid leave, pension, legal services, and parental leave.
