Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Guest Room Attendant in Chicago to maintain a high standard of room cleanliness. Responsibilities include turning down beds, cleaning bathrooms, restocking items, and ensuring rooms are ready for the next guest.

The role requires staying on your feet for long shifts and lifting up to 20 lbs. Candidates with housekeeping experience and strong customer service skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability and willingness to stand for 8 hours at a time.
• Ability and willingness to bend, stretch, reach, and push up to 20 lbs.
• Ability and willingness to work a varied schedule which includes weekends and holidays.
• Previous experience in housekeeping is strongly preferred.
• Provide water and ice to guests.
• Offer guests towels, pillows and other services/amenities.
• Change linens, turn-down bed.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms including making beds, bathrooms, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Restock and replace used items within guest rooms.
• Communicate clean status of each room upon completion.
• Remove room service trays and tables from guest rooms.
• Stock supply cart and keep it neat and organized at all times.
• Check equipment before and after use to ensure it works properly.
• Respond to guests in a friendly, efficient manner.

Overview

This position is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in each guest room. Guest Room Attendants refresh rooms for guests who are continuing their stay, as well as, thoroughly clean rooms of guests who have checked out in preparation for the next guest checking in. This position will alsowill provide turndown services of guest rooms, occasional full servicing of guest rooms and complete any additional duties as assigned by the PM Supervisor/Managerin accordance with Omni standards.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms including: making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and dusting
• Restock and replace used items within guest rooms
• Communicate clean status of each room upon completion
• Remove room service trays and tables from guest rooms
• Stock supply cart and ensure that it is neat and well organized at all times
• Check all equipment prior to and after use to ensure that it is in good working order
• Respond to all hotel guests efficiently and in an appropriately friendly manner
