Job summary

AKA Hotels + Hotel Residences is hiring a Room Attendant to maintain clean resident rooms and public areas, including stripping/making beds, restocking supplies, and ensuring privacy and safety for residents and teammates.

We require a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of housekeeping experience. Flexibility with nights, weekends and holidays is essential, with a meticulous eye for detail and a strong service mindset.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cleans resident rooms and areas including beds, garbage removal, dusting, vacuuming, bathrooms, supplies replenishment, windows, mirrors and patios where applicable.
• Inspects room condition and reports damages to supervisor.
• Uses chemicals per safety data sheets and follows MSDS guidance.
• Maintains consistent AKA standards and presentation of rooms.
• Reports hazardous conditions or equipment to supervisor.
• Keeps stocked and organized cart and tools clean and orderly.
• Brings Lost and Found items to supervisor for logging in system.
• Communicates professionally with residents and team members per AKA service standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Hotel AKA Boston Common is hiring for a Full-Time and Part-Time Room Attendant!

Team Member Requirements

• Willingness to accept the most effective role.

• Maintains regular attendance in compliance with the AKA standards.
• Approach all encounters with residents and Team Members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Promotes a safe, secure and healthy work environment.
• Maintains Resident/guest privacy and confidentiality by protecting all personal information.
• Familiar with emergency and safety procedures for your role.
• Adheres to AKA Image Requirements policy.

Responsibilites:

• Cleans resident rooms and resident areas, including, but not limited to; stripping/making beds; removing garbage; dusting and vacuuming; cleaning bathrooms; replenishing supplies; cleaning windows, mirrors, and patios (where applicable).
• Inventories condition of room furnishings using the AKA Furnished Inventory and Condition Checklist as needed; communicates to immediate Supervisor and/or designated team member any damage caused by the resident or reports items that need to be repaired.
• Utilizes chemicals according to directions and familiarizes self with all material safety data sheets.
• Consistently maintains the same AKA standards and presentation of the resident rooms.
• Reports hazardous conditions in work area or equipment to supervisor.
• Maintains a stocked and organized cart while maintaining tools and equipment clean and orderly.
• Brings Lost and Found items to Supervisor/Manager to be logged in the Lost & Found system.
• Communicates with residents and Team Members in a professional and friendly manner in compliance with AKA service standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills

• Demonstrated energetic, self-motivated with a “can do” positive attitude.
• Proficiency in English (written and oral) preferred.
• Preferred background in Housekeeping.
