Job summary

Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa in the United States is seeking a Guest Room Attendant to uphold our high cleanliness standards in guest rooms. You will refresh rooms for current guests and thoroughly clean rooms after checkout to prepare for new arrivals for a seamless stay at our historic resort.

This role requires following Omni Safe and Clean protocols, restocking items, communicating room status, and participating in department trainings.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Prior housekeeping or environmental services experience required.
• Stand or walk for extended periods; frequent bending and squatting.
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays during busy periods.
• English language proficiency for communication.
• Computer literacy including payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms including: making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Uphold Omni Safe and Clean processes.
• Restock and replace used items within guest rooms.
• Communicate clean status of each room upon completion.
• Remove room service trays and tables from guest rooms.
• Stock supply cart and ensure that it is neat and well organized at all times.
• Check all equipment prior to and after use to ensure that it is in good working order.
• Maintain a professional, neat and organized appearance according to Omni Bedford Springs standards.
• Respond swiftly and effectively in any emergency or safety situations. Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury or accident.
• Attend all required department trainings and meetings.
• Perform any other duties required by management.

Overview

• Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed during busy times and high-profile events, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.
• Must possess the ability to handle stressful and busy hotel operations. Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure at all times.
• Must have the ability to report to work on time and when scheduled.
• Must have the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Must meet standards of appearance and maintain a high level of personal hygiene at all time.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers.
• Computer literacy to include: Payroll systems
