Job summary

SRS Building Products in Torrance, CA is seeking a material handler to load, unload, and transport roofing materials on rooftops, upholding safety and customer service standards.

You will work with drivers, verify orders, and follow OSHA guidelines. Must be physically fit, able to lift up to 100 lbs, and work outdoors in varied weather conditions. Forklift certification is a plus, with overtime potential and benefits typical to the role.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to lift up to 100 lbs and handle heavy items.
• Proficient in verbal and written English; Spanish is a plus.
• Authorized to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship.
• Able to pass criminal and driving background checks and a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload roofing materials from delivery trucks.
• Follow safety guidelines and OSHA regulations at all times.
• Distribute materials onto roofs per safety procedures.
• Operate conveyor belt systems where trained and certified.
• Verify and reconcile material orders accurately.
• Provide courteous service to roofing contractors.
• Coordinate loading/unloading with drivers and team members.
