Job summary

SRS Building Products - Simi Valley is seeking a Loader/Unloader to move roofing materials at rooftops and on job sites. You will load, unload, and distribute materials while following safety rules and procedures, helping drivers and crews on a daily basis.

The role requires physical fitness, attention to detail for order accuracy, and the ability to work outdoors at elevations. OSHA guidelines and PPE use are essential, with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Authorized to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to pass criminal and driving background checks, along with a pre-employment drug test.
• Proficient in verbal and written communication in English.
• Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
• Safety awareness with knowledge of OSHA guidelines.
• Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Availability to work Monday through Friday with potential overtime based on delivery schedules and peak seasons.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload roofing materials from delivery trucks using manual and mechanical methods.
• Ensuring that all safety guidelines and procedures are followed.
• Facilitate the safe and effective distribution of materials onto flat and sloped roofs as per company safety guidelines.
• Operate conveyor belt systems (where trained and certified) to transport building materials from flatbed trucks to rooftops.
• Accurately verify and reconcile material orders.
• Provide exceptional service to roofing contractors.
• Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
• Work closely with drivers and other team members to coordinate efficient loading and unloading processes.
