Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve craft cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations and create personalized beverage experiences for guests.
• Take orders, process transactions through the POS system, and ensure accurate billing.
• Maintain a clean, stocked bar and communicate shortages to management.
• Assist with rooftop events and high-volume service as needed.

About the RoleHotel Bourré Bonne is seeking an experienced, energetic, and hospitality-driven Rooftop Bartender to join The Rooftop team. Our rooftop offers guests an elevated Louisville experience featuring stunning city views, craft cocktails, Kentucky bourbon, wine, beer, and a vibrant social atmosphere.The ideal candidate is confident behind the bar, knowledgeable about cocktails and spirits, and passionate about creating memorable guest experiences. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining polished service, attention to detail, and a welcoming personality.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve craft cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and presentation standards.Provide knowledgeable recommendations and create personalized beverage experiences for guests.Maintain an engaging, friendly, and professional presence behind the bar.Take food and beverage orders and accurately process transactions through the POS system.Monitor guest needs and provide prompt, attentive service throughout their visit.Promote premium spirits, specialty cocktails, bourbon selections, and other featured offerings.Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service.Complete opening and closing bar duties, including stocking, prep, cleaning, and securing the bar.Maintain proper inventory levels and communicate shortages or product needs to management.Follow all responsible alcohol service requirements and verify identification when appropriate.Monitor guest consumption and responsibly manage alcohol service.Work closely with servers, barbacks, hosts, and management to ensure smooth service.Maintain knowledge of current menus, cocktail recipes, wine and spirit offerings, promotions, and special events.Follow hotel standards for sanitation, food safety, cash handling, and guest service.Assist with rooftop events, private parties, and high-volume service as needed.QualificationsPrevious bartending experience required; upscale restaurant, hotel, rooftop, cocktail bar, or high-volume experience preferred.Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and bourbon.Excellent communication and guest-service skills.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and service standards.Strong knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices.Professional appearance and positive, outgoing personality.Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry bar supplies.What We’re Looking ForWe're looking for bartenders who bring energy, personality, professionalism, and genuine hospitality to every shift.
