Job summary

The Cooper's Bar Marti is seeking an Assistant Manager to support day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience on Bar Marti's rooftop in Charleston.

You will assist in staffing, budgeting, and vendor coordination, maintain service standards, and lead pre-meal meetings and performance evaluations. A strong background in luxury hotel dining and staff development is preferred.

Qualifications

• College or vocational degree in hotel/restaurant management, sales, or marketing.
• Minimum five years in a leadership role in a 4- or 5-star restaurant; at least three in management.
• Accounting, budgeting, and financial statement knowledge.
• Ability to communicate with guests, suppliers, and staff clearly.
• Knowledge of state/federal labor and liquor laws.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all operations, staffing, scheduling, and inventory.
• Supervise the floor during service and coordinate dining room functions.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cost-control measures.
• Review profits and payroll expenses.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and handle complaints.
